About the Project

The new construction project occupies approximately 350,000 sqft with a total of 500 apartment units inviting tenants to the Bushwick neighborhood. In recent years, Bushwick has evolved dramatically into the working-class community it is today due to natural progression and introduction of a younger demographic allowing it to become a natural extension of Williamsburg.

What’s unique about it

Designed to speak to the colorful, artistic nature of the neighborhood, this project has an industrial meets pop art feel. The street level lobby opens to a larger space featuring circular, over-sized seating built within planter boxes mirroring the expansive green wall that leads to upper levels. Behind the reception area is a double height water feature that cascades into the lower level lobby lounge overlooking the building’s courtyard. The lobby lounge takes advantage of double height ceilings with stacked shipping containers re-purposed for private workstations. The main corridors give access to the amenity spaces providing tenants with an array of options ranging from a 2-story gym with a rock-climbing wall to a pet spa. Other amenities include photo studios, art studios, music rehearsal rooms, a coffee lounge, a movie screening room, a game room with play options for various age groups, as well as study areas. Apartment interiors have a sleek modern design punctuated by funky accents, such as graffiti printed tiles at the bathrooms, raw steel framed glass shower doors, and concrete counter-tops at the kitchens.
