About the Project

The project is situated at East Lake Scenic Area, surrounded by mountains and water. Based on such context, we envisioned a series of intangible elements which can be only perceived by rational thinking rather than sensory organs, and made use of the laws concerning movement and change of matter in the overall spatial design.

Water ripples were arranged in an orderly way, constituting the principal axis of space. Dynamic and flowing in movements, the ripples were utilized as major elements in the design.

The designers brought the image of mountains rising one after another into the space, adding grandeur to it. Based on such context, we envisioned a series of intangible elements which can be only perceived by rational thinking rather than sensory organs, and made use of the laws concerning movement and change of matter in the overall spatial design.

The main luminaires of a space are commonly installed on the center of the ceiling, which looks like a waterfall, flowing down on the wall and integrating well with the carpet. The long stairway with curved surface leaping into the eye, combined with the cloud-shaped ceiling, forming a scene that rolling mountains loom out of mist. In the master bedroom, large translucent French glass windows and white stone carved with cloud patterns were fully utilized. The shared study room on the second floor offers a good view of the double-height living room and even the exterior lakeside scenery. And we designed cloud-shaped glass armrest boards and ceilings here, with smooth lines.

What’s unique about it

1,We uses the rational thinking to conduct the design philosophy of the whole space, recreating the motion and change of things in the natural world in an interior design project.

2, The designers used 3D parametric design to create sophisticated natural formations by precise calculations, making the space unique and artistic.

3, Based on the abstract imagery of Chinese culture, the spirit of earth and cultural landscape, we created metaphysical sensory experience. There is no need for artworks in the space, because the space itself is a work of art.
